Petanque's
popularity is steadily increasing in our country.
But players are
scattered over all 50 states and do not have many opportunities to meet,
mingle and play. In 2011, 136 teams came from 25 states, Canada and Europe and had a marvelous time. Many new friendships were made. High fives and laughter went on from morning till late at night. It certainly helps that the marina is a beautiful setting, with plenty cafes & restaurants within walking distance, and lots of breeze and sunshine. Not unlike La Ciotat in the South of France, where petanque started in 1907. |
